Super Design 2011, London |
WGSN-homebuildlife presents the key trends from the fifth edition of
Super Design, the annual design-art show, which brings together a selection of international galleries during London's
Frieze Art Fair.

Philip Michael Wolfson at Patrick Brillet Fine Art |
A major trend at this year's show was remixed materials: seen used innovatively to create new variations, or used in conjunction with archetypal forms.
 |
Ethno-Eames by Paolo Giordano |
Patrick Brillet Fine Art showed a series of vessels and seats by Philip Michael Wolfson made of concrete canvas, a nylon fabric filled with cement to combine the rigidity of hardened concrete with the malleability and soft surface texture of canvas, while Paolo Giordano's Ethno-Eames chairs, shown in cast aluminium and bronze, combine the iconic form of the Eames chair with traditional Indian decorative patterns.
