Mutewatch launch

Swedish electronics company Mutewatch have designed an interactive wristband which operates as a watch, timer, and alarm clock with vibrating alerts.


The wristband features an innovative interface which is activated by tapping the screen. By swiping the screen horizontally or vertically, you can scroll through the three functions or set a vibrating alert. When an alert goes off, the user pinches the watch to end the alarm.

Mutewatch describe the product as “a silent alarm in the shape of a vibrating wristband”. They hope it will “serve as a quiet reminder that helps you to follow your own agenda without disturbing people in your surroundings”.

The watch uses a standard USB port to charge, will be available in three colours (poppy red, charcoal grey and pure white), and is priced at €199, or about $260.
