Earlier this week the WGSN Interiors team visited this year's second instalment of the Parisian design show Maison et Objet to seek out the latest in inspirational homeware design. As well as being impressed with the breadth of design on show, we were also excited to see some fantastic offerings amongst the new exhibitors at the fair, one of which was Danish company Ferm Living.
Founded by Trine Andersen in 2005, Ferm Living began life as a Graphic design agency with a mission to create graphic wallpaper at an affordable price. Having achieved this, the studio now offers a whole range of contemporary lifestyle products with new collections launching each season.
Exhibiting for the first time at Maison et Objet, the autumn / winter collection was inspired by geometric shapes, where angular patterns meet Scandinavian touches of nature. We love their use of warm retro colours, oversized cosy knits and 50's inspired prints - all trends that are set to be big for the upcoming season.
