ECAL student Christophe Guberan showed an adapted inkjet printer, which can create self-folding origami paper, at Salone Satellite in Milan last month.
Repeated patterns are generated on the computer and then printed onto paper using a water and ink mix. When the substance meets humid air, the paper instantly reacts.
