Following on the heels of fashion designers such as Sandra Backlund, the trend towards oversized knits and weaves in furniture has been rapidly gaining ground and making an appearance in everything from lampshades to pouffes.

At this year's trade shows, we have seen how this trend is evolving as oversized weaving and voluminous upholstery emerge as key trends for the coming seasons. Designers are creating playful pieces that cocoon and protect by blending exaggerated scale with bold and textured forms.
